Adding your voice to the chorus is a great way to support marijuana legalization in a public forum. It encourages us all to speak out, not just in cyberspace, but in our physical reality. And it allows Americans who disagree with legalization to hear us as fellow human beings deserving their compassion and respect. So become active and take a few minutes to help in the cause.
~ Send Your Voice Digitally ~
If you have a multimedia computer with a microphone, you can record your voice and send me an e-mail (scottyj@legalize.com) with the file as an attachment. It took me a couple hours to figure out how to do this on Windows 95, so let me tell you the trick.
First you must turn on your microphone as the input source. Under Programs, Accessories, Multimedia is an application called Volume Control. When you launch it, it defaults to displaying your output volume. To switch to input volume, choose Options, Properties from the menu. Then change "Adjust volume for" from "Playback" to "Recording". Now make sure the "Microphone" check box is checked and hit OK. You can now finally select the microphone as your input source.
Now you are ready to record. Again under Programs, Accessories, Multimedia is an application called Sound Recorder. Launch it, press the Record button and when you are done, press the Stop button. You can review your recording, re-record, and when you are satisfied save it as a file. When you send me your e-mail, simply attach the file to it.

Please only send yourself saying "legalize" -- the wave files have to be small both so they can download fast and so they don't use up too much of my site's monthly throughput. Along with your recording, you can optionally send your first name, age, occupation and a brief one or two sentence quote that gives your number one reason for wanting marijuana legalized. Try to include the word legalize in your quote, or tack it onto the end.
