We, the members and friends of Legalize, are issuing a collective appeal to the judges of Slates^® Clothing and P.O.V. Magazine's "Shortcut to your Dream" contest to choose our Web site for your award. Legalize's success is our shared dream. Winning your contest would catapult us forward and achieve our goal of transforming our on-line community into a real-world phenomenon.

Legalize empowers ordinary Americans like ourselves to speak out collectively on-line and as individual citizens in our own communities. Marijuana legalization is a moderate, mainstream issue silenced by the Government, corporations and the media. Together we break the silence by posting flyers and stickers, by handing out promotional cards, or simply by wearing our Legalize T-shirts with pride. By promoting Legalize we end the Drug Warriors' marketing monopoly, the glue that holds public opinion in place.

We have seen Legalize grow and mature in the past three years, and have celebrated its many achievements. Although we obviously harbor a great passion for the cause, it is Legalize's leadership and fresh sense of purpose that unite and inspire us. We firmly believe that Legalize is the best and most important Web site on the Internet.
